This week the Virtual Curation Laboratory at VCU had a new “member” join–the MakerBot Replicator. With considerable care and attention from VCU archaeology student Allen Huber, we got the MakerBot Replicator busy working on crea
ting resin replicas of archaeological items–after we tested the MakerBot using a shark toy model. Expect to see plenty of interesting items featured on our blog in the future and soon some of the artifacts we have been imaging with our Next Engine 3D scanner.
